This section of the web site documents a great deal of the history of the Miss Georgia Teen USA Pageant. It covers the 18 year period during which the pageant was under the direction of the Miss USA/Miss Universe Pageant System's Senior State Director, JIm Whitehead._ From the debut of the Miss Georgia Teen USA Pageant in 1983 through Jim's retirement as Senior State Director following the 2001 pageants, this section depicts some of the history of one of the Nation's most well produced teen pageants.

Since Jim Whitehead's debut in the pageant industry back in the early 1960's, Jim has made a mark for himself, quickly becoming a well recognized, very dignified, and certainly, one of the most respected figures in the pageant and modeling industries._ Jim's involvement with the inception of the Miss Teen USA Pageant Program, which debuted in August 1983 in Lakeland, Florida, makes this section all that more important._ Needless to say, it was Jim who pioneered the Miss Georgia Teen USA Pageant, and as can be seen by the history of the pageant, he has done an outstanding job, hosting and producing what has become one of the most prestigious and well presented state teen pageants in the country.
